A ladies rugby team is helping promote one of Northallerton’s new summer exercise classes.
Members of Northallerton ladies rugby club (pictured) took part in an ‘outdoor taster boot camp class’ last week.
Now the rugby season has ended the rugby ladies were looking for ways to maintain their fitness levels during the summer months and found the military feel of the class which uses a combination of equipment - power bags, rope pulls, medicine balls and tyres - gave them the high energy workout they were looking for, as well as being fun and exciting.
The class starts on 2 July and will take place every Monday from 6.15 - 7pm until 24 September on the fields outside Northallerton Leisure Centre. It costs £6.30 or free to ZEST members.
There is also an introductory class to group cycling over summer using group cycling bikes which will include tips for setting up the bike, sprints and hill climbs. It is ideal for those new to spinning, or for those who are a little hesitant or apprehensive when trying new classes. The thirty minute class takes place on Wednesdays starting on 4 July right through to 26 September from 6 – 6.30pm at Northallerton Leisure Centre and costs £2 or free to ZEST members.
