Hull tops Humberside car crime data

New data reveals the most risky places to park your car in the Humber Region based on vehicle crimes committed in 2024.

The data shows the number of incidents where cars, vans, and motorbikes were stolen, broken into, damaged, or vandalised within the jurisdiction of Humberside Police last year.

Perhaps unsurprisingly, the areas with the most incidents of vehicle crimes were the larger towns and cities within the region. As well as having the most vehicle offences in the region at 132, Hull city centre also had the higher rate of offences per 1,000 people, at 13.4.

In the number of offences, Hull city centre was followed by Hull’s Boulevard & St Andrew’s Quay (100) and Scunthorpe Central & Crosby (70) which saw the second and third most offences committed respectively.

The area with the second highest offence rate per 1,000 people in 2024 was Scunthorpe Central Park (11.4), followed by Boulevard & St Andrew’s Quay (10.6) in third place.
