East Riding brewery strikes supermarket deal

Morrisons has chosen Yorkshire Pudding Beer from Wicstun Distillery, to be sold in some of its Yorkshire stores as part of a programme to put more local products on the shelves.

Yorkshire Pudding Beer goes on sale in Scarborough, Malton, Bridlington and Beverley from Friday 10th October.

Yorkshire Pudding Beer is a light ale at 3.6% vol sold in both bottle and cans.

Jago Packer, Director, said “Introducing a beer to our range has been an ambition of mine for a number of years. To be able to share with our customers a smooth, creamy ale with an essence of Yorkshire Pudding we are proud to put our name too. Yorkshire Pudding Beer has opened new opportunities for the business and hopefully will be followed by other products in the coming months.”

Wicstun Distillery was established in 2021 by Jago and Lisa Packer, becoming fully licensed in 2022. It is a family run business, taking inspiration from local places and people, using local ingredients that pass on their passion for all things Yorkshire. They also make a range of spirits including Gin, Rum and Vodka in their distillery in Market Weighton which is open to public for visits and tasting sessions.
