The Christmas tree that will stand in Queen Victoria Square this year has been revealed by Hull City Council.
The council has chosen a 50ft Norway Spruce. It will arrive in the city centre square later this month.
Festive preparations are well underway, with lights already being put up across the city centre. The official Christmas Lights Switch-On event will take place on Thursday, November 20.
Further details are expected to be revealed soon. Last year’s event saw Hull KR star Mikey Lewis join the Lord Mayor and, of course, Santa Claus himself to switch on the festive illuminations from the balcony of Hull City Hall.
Thousands gathered in Queen Victoria Square for the occasion.
