Amazon will open its new fulfilment centre at Melton West Business Park later this year.
Hull City Council’s Employment Hub has teamed up with East Riding of Yorkshire Council and Amazon to host a recruitment drive next month where up to 2,000 vacancies could be filled.
It will take place from 10am to 2pm in Hull Central Library on Albion Street on Tuesday 15 July.
Staff from the Employment Hub, as well as representatives from Amazon, will be on hand for face-to-face discussions on warehouse operative roles initially available and how career paths can be developed with the company.
Those looking to return to employment, begin their careers or simply looking for a change of occupation are all welcome, including care leavers and former military personnel.
Those wishing to attend are asked to declare an expression of interest to allow organisers to be aware of estimated attendees.
