Grants available for community projects in York

Applications are now open for funding to support schemes which make a difference to the lives of local people across York.

The Ward Budget Citywide Fund supports projects operating citywide in York which meet at least one of four key council priorities: Equalities and Human Rights – Equality of opportunity; Affordability – Tackling the cost-of-living crisis; Climate – Environment and the climate emergency; Health – Health and wellbeing.

The council is inviting organisations to apply for up to £10,000.

Previous allocations from the fund have included schemes to:

Advice and practical help to reduce energy bills
Support and social activities for children with additional needs and autism
Specialist money, debt and benefits advice
Counselling
Training for employment
