The exhibition will feature works across various mediums, covering a wide range of subjects by both professionals and amateur artists.
Hannah Willetts, Beverley Art Gallery curator said “We’ve been delighted by the strong response to this year’s Open Art Exhibition, particularly with the submission process being held in the gallery for the first time. It’s been a rewarding experience to connect directly with so many artists. Each year, our guest selectors bring fresh perspectives, and we’re proud to continue providing a platform for local talent in our historic gallery.
“We encourage all art enthusiasts and interested residents to join us in supporting these talented artists, and take the advantage of the opportunity to see some fantastic artwork on display.”
Later on in the exhibition, the Friends of Beverley Art Gallery will present prizes to outstanding works and artists. Visitors can also vote for their favourite pieces in the People’s Choice Award.
Many works featured in the exhibition will be available for purchase.
The exhibition will run until Thursday 18 December, and will be open during the gallery’s usual opening hours: Monday-Friday 9:30am-16:45pm and Saturdays 9:00am-15:45pm.
