These are the roadworks happening in and around the city, as announced by Hull City Council
A63 – St James Street to Market Place: Major A63 improvement scheme – full infrastructure change. Lane and road closures until completion of scheme, May 1, 2025.
A63 Castle Street: A series of overnight closures for the A63 Castle Street scheme until January 31.
Anlaby Road: Carriageway survey works. Lane closure on Anlaby Road between Eastfield Primary School and Hamlyn Avenue. December 2 to 4.
Beverley Road: Gas works near Tesco and DM Keith. Lane closure in place. Until December 20. Also, no right turn onto Mizzen Road, until December 20.

Chamberlain Gardens: Connection only due to works on Summergangs Road. Until December 6.
Cottingham Road: Taking cores of existing carriageway. Lane closure Cottingham Road roundabout at Fairfax Avenue, Hotham Road North and Hall Road. Until December 10.
Crowle Street: Gas works at the junction of Wyke Street to outside A Laver & Co. Multi-way signals in place. Until December 4.
Dairycoates Avenue: Connection only due to works on Woodcock Street. Multi-way signals in place. December 2 to 13.
Elm Terrace: Carriageway resurfacing. Road closure in place. Until December 6.
Ferries Street: Gasworks near junction of Crowle Street and Hedon Road. Two-way signals in place. Until December 6.
Guildhall Road: Public realm works, including paving, surfacing, drainage, retaining walls and ducting within Queens Gardens and along Guildhall Road, Wilberforce Drive and Queens Dock Avenue. Lane closure on Guildhall Road. Until October 31, 2025.
Hall Road: Installation of a 5G pole. Two-way signals in place. December 2 to 6.
Hawthorn Avenue: Due to works on Woodcock Street. Multi-way signals in place. Until December 20.
Henry Boot Way: Utility asset works. Multi-way signals in place. Until December 6.
High Street: New service connection. Road closure from North Walls to Alfred Gelder Street. Until December 13.
Holderness Road: Deep excavation and reconstruction. Lane closure Holderness Road – Mount Pleasant junction to the bus stop, just past the railway tracks. Until December 2. Also, Mount Pleasant to Burleigh Street closure, December 8 to 9.
Holderness Road: Excavate to locate faulted cable, test faulted cable section and repair by jointing new cable and reinstate excavations. Public Lighting Cable Fault. Until December 6.
Hotham Road South: Road closure for manhole construction. Until December 20.
Ilford Road: Constructing new manholes and connecting sewer pipework to allow for the connection of SUDS aqua greens, built off the highway back into the sewer system. Road closure between Worcester Road and Bristol Road. December 2 to March 14, 2025.
Inglemire Lane: Utility asset works at the junction of Hall Road. Multi-way signals in place. December 2 to 6.
Junella Close: Connection only due to works on Woodcock Street. Multiway signals in place. December 9 to 20.
Londesborough Street: Cherry picker to access telecoms mast for testing / maintenance works. Multi-way signals in place. December 2.
Lothian Way: Cherry picker to access telecoms mast for testing / maintenance works. Multi-way signals in place. December 4.
Middlesex Road: Cable diversion works from the junction of Bellfield Avenue to the junction of Saltshouse Road. Road closure in place. Until December 20.
Poorhouse Lane: Utility asset works at the junction of Preston Road. Multi-way signals in place. November 25 to 29. Also, installation of a 5G pole, two-way signals in place, December 2 to 6.
Raich Carter Way: Carriageway surveys. Lane closure on Raich Carter Way to include the roundabout and Barnes Way and Gibraltar Road approach arms. December 9 to 11.
Reservoir Road: Cherry picker to access telecoms mast for testing / maintenance works. Road closure in place. December 2 to 3.
Roebank Roundabout: Carriageway surveys. Lane closure Roebank Roundabout and approach arms. December 11 to 13.
Spring Bank West: Carriageway surveys. Lane closure in place. December 4 to 5.
Terry Street: Telecoms maintenance using a cherry picker, next to KFC. Two-way signals in place. December 15 to 16.
West Dock Avenue: Utility asset works. Multi-way signals in place. December 3 to 9.
Wincolmlee: Repair of bust water main. Road closure in place. Until December 3.
Witty Street: Utility asset works. Multi-way signals in place. Until December 4.
Woodcock Street: Gas works from 187 Woodcock Street to the side of 248 St George’s Road. Multi-way signals in place. Until December 20.
