What’s on in Hull this December

Christmas is nearly upon us. Hull, as ever, has plenty of options for those wanting to get into the festive spirit this December, but also options for those who (Bah, humbug!) want to avoid the Christmas season altogether.

Hull Christmas Markets

Hull is the perfect place to get into the Christmas spirit this year, with a host of magical Christmas markets planned for throughout the city centre.

Hull New Theatre, various dates

Enter a world of wonder at the region’s largest pantomime, as the magical Goldilocks and the Three Bears comes to Hull New Theatre.

Starring the Strictly Come Dancing professional dancer and Dancing on Ice finalist Brendan Cole as the Evil Ringmaster, Goldilocks and the Three Bears will also see the return of Hull’s favourite comic Neil Hurst.

Christmas Ghost Stories: The Ghosts of Hull History Centre

For fans of all things spooky, join Hull historian Mike Covell for this festive look at unusual stories from the past.

Middle Child Panto: Treasure Island

Social (Humber Street), various dates

Hull’s rock ‘n’ roll panto returns with an anarchic take on a classic story – Treasure Island. As well as family-friendly shows, there’s also late shows which are strictly for adults.
