Police in York are appealing for witnesses and information about a burglary that occurred at the D Frames shop on Clifford Street on Monday 31 August between 12.10am and 12.20am.

It involved an unknown male suspect using a tool in an attempt to force open the front door, which has resulted in damage to the frame. The suspect has also reached his arm through the letter box of the door.

We are asking for the public’s assistance to help establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.

In particular, we are appealing for any information about the suspect.

The male suspect is described as being white, of a large build, with short dark hair and he wearing a tracksuit top.
