Alex Cromie and his wife Marie Ebert were identified as the couple who died in the tragedy in Greece.
Asset management firm Blackstone where Mr Cromie worked as a vice president in private wealth, released a statement on Tuesday saying it is “shocked” by the couple’s death.
The helicopter went down on the island of Sifnos, killing the pilot and two passengers, fire brigade officials told Reuters.
The cause of the crash is unknown.
After hitting a hillside, the smash sparked a fire in the Tholos part of Sifnos and the bodies of three people were recovered from the site, the fire service said.
Images shown on local TV channels showed what appeared to be the crash site on a barren hillside, where a ball of flame created a plume of dark smoke.
A spokesperson for Blackstone said: “We are shocked by the tragic passing of three people including our colleague Alex Cromie and his wife Marie Ebert, who were celebrating their honeymoon.
“Alex was beloved by everyone who knew and worked with him at Blackstone, and our thoughts and prayers are with his loved ones.”
