Daniel Siad, whose name appeared thousands of times in the Epstein files, was discovered on Monday in the suburb of Colombes.
“An investigation to determine the cause of death was opened on Monday evening following the discovery,” the Nanterre prosecutor’s office said.
Officials said a post-mortem would be carried out, but Le Parisien reported he died of cardiac arrest.
The 69-year-old had previously denied any knowledge of Epstein’s crimes.
